Thanks Judy; but I think that it goes beyond just being a point for foundational info (as I am doing with MMM); there's got to be another point where that leads into direct challenging of the current norms, and opportunities to doing something... different.

Ironically, today's MMM post talks about just that on one end - but doesn't really offer a solution. Maybe its time for me (personally) to look back into teaching those specialty classes, as I did earlier this decade.

Antoine, as a leader in the mobile content cause, you are doing a great deal of get back for kids worldwide. As the realization grows that it is possible to be informed from the internet through the mobile in one's hand, education will not be able to stay the same. I am an optimist because of people like you who are getting mobile content into the mainstream.

I can only speak for myself - as I try not to let discussions of race and education get to me too much - but so much in this piece is correct. I would't be where I am today if it wasn't for the investment that happened through my parents and the many other teachers and persons outside of school who enriched my learning/leading abilities.

The hard part is spreading this back; because the need is great, but the availability for Black/Africian Americans to get back into schools and be these kind of enriching mentors.

Thanks for posting this; and reminding me of my responsibilities to all people, especially those who have deserved the same opportunities that I have been given.
