If Google CEO Eric Schmidt, who says “The future of computing is mobile,” is correct, handschooling is crucial in the future of education. Mobile is hand-carried computing. Perhaps there are some who would argue that computing is unimportant in education, but that is an increasingly difficult position to defend. The rest of us think computing is huge for future education, and that advice like Schmidt’s should be taken to heart by educators.
